Two different characters. Same reference.

This is my favorite batch so far for some reason.

These guys were fun to caricature.

Goblin ears.

I’m practicing faces again starting off with males since I don’t draw them that often.

I did the first three in pencil but I’ve moved on to my tablet for the rest of this project.

The book I’m drawing from is called “Facial Expressions” by Mark Simon. It’s definitely a great reference and also great for practicing expressions.

Experimenting with Jacki’s design as far as her head’s concerned. I’m not focusing on expressions just exploring subtle varieties in features and to a lesser extent accessories like hats and stuff.

I have seven designs here, the only two that I didn’t do multiples of are the ones on the bottom right.

Just a quick warmup.

I’m really starting to like Twilight Sparkle with short hair/bob cut that I’ve seen from other artists so I thought I’d try it out.

At one point this did remind me a bit of Elizabeth from Bioshock Infinite while drawing.

A turnaround of my new character Jacqueline I did last week.

I’m uploading it now because I won’t be going further with it. After about the 3rd drawing based on my original sketch I’m not entirely satisfied with her design and I want to experiment some more before I make anything concrete.

I do have a general outline of her written as well as some other characters and I want to focus on developing her first before I get started on the others…man I’m so single minded XD

This is a rough sketch I drew a while back when people were asking me for a full body Zecora drawing. I’m gonna go ahead and upload this now because I’m pretty sure I won’t be working on it again for a while, kinda saving it for something I can work on when I’m in a rut.

I do want to finish it eventually though. Obviously since this is old there are already a lot of things I see that I want to fix.

Something a bit different from my usual warmups. Saw Emmy on Kev’s DA page and thought I’d give her a shot. I like her design, and forgive me if I got her attitude wrong, all I know is she came from a mental hospital ^^;

I tried to make some minor fixes to the proportions and little things but meh, I think it turned out okay for a warmup drawing.
